Short away trip to KL, and first KTM intercity experience

Warning: It's going to be a freaking LONG post. And I think I will only talk mainly about TRAINS. So beware.... hehe :)

Honestly speaking, I am still not that fully recovered from my trip to KL last weekend. It still has its massive impact on me. Hmm...

I planned my trip to KL last month because I have received the email from the guys at Sepang International Circuit to collect my ticket in March. Since last Monday is a public holiday, I saw it as a perfect time to go to KL to collect the ticket and perhaps, some short getaways.

I used KTM intercity, which is the long-distance train service in West Malaysia, to go to KL because it's the cheapest available. And furthermore, I just want to try it, FOR THE 1ST TIME. :)

It's all started at this little, but very busy Arau train station.

The levers used to divert the tracks for the passing trains.

Here comes a cargo freight train, going towards Thailand.

I do notice that the locomotive driver always pass that ring stuff to station officer. I wonder what's that for? Hmmm...

I stood on the track. I have been waiting for very loooong.....

Another train went pass, this is the 2-coach-only Butterworth - Bangkok train. I wonder how on earth the passengers can stand more than 1 day in the train? Fuh..

Officer get ready his raincoats...

Yeah train come already, but late 1 hour zzzz.....

I am in coach R4, economy class. :)

Here's the seat where I gonna place my butt to be flattened for the next 12.5 hours.... Fuh...

People in my coach.

I bought this on board. The rice is 6 bucks, and the water is 2 bucks. Not cheap, but what to do since I haven't ate anything since that morning? Hmmm...

If you ever wondered how I can sleep on this economy class seat, here's how I slept on board, which I think it works for me very well....

Yes, like this, the most effective way....

It's not that bad I think for my first time. After 12.5 hours, I reached KL Central Station, happily!

Still dark and early, only 0700 that time, not much people. I like the Celcom big banner ads though... very cute :)

Went to this church....

It's a freaking big church...

A closer shot to the altar.

My first breakfast at KL. RM3.70. Still OK I think.

Here comes the sad part. I was really upset that I still CANNOT collect my F1 tickets at that time. Little do I feel cheated and it's really hard for me to get to KL ok. I really gave a piece of my mind and told exactly what I thought! Lot's of ~!@#$%^.....

But in the end they gave me a satisfactory condition and lot's of race promotion products. However it still made me feel that this trip is a WASTED & USELESS TRIP. :(

Nevertheless I just went on to go to the malls to loiter around. I went to Midvalley since it's the nearest to central station. Nothing much to interest me, except this...

Seriously, that "Hello Kitty" looks like a grandma-turn-young-and-wear-miniskirt to me. The long white hairs sucks.

After some more shopping at Careffour Midvalley (which is really cheap), I went back to Central Station. Boredom strike me again. Here goes nothing at central station.

I feel the air stewardess of Firefly there is very beautiful. Perfect for ads. :)

KTM Komuter exits. Always always busy.

Rapid KL Kelana Jaya Line exit point. Also very busy too. Better than KTM Komuter I think in terms of speed.

Lot's of people buying KTM Intercity tickets. I also upgraded my tickets to go back here.

Since I got so so bored, I decided to try something new. Believe it or not, I walked all the way from Central Station to KLCC! Really, seriously, no joke here!

Saw this magnificent old church along Tun Sambanthan Road.

KL Tower is not so faraway from here.

This ad is so cute! :)

By the time I reached KLCC, I just felt that my legs refused to listen to me anymore. Fatigue just struck me all over me. Fuh...

After buying some stuffs, I just went back to Central Station, this time by LRT. It's time to go back after such a long day.

Time to go to the platform... Many people...

I upgraded my ticket to sleeper 2nd class upper berth. The space is very small.

In my coach, S1.

Bought some magazines for me to read on board. Now I realized that men's magazine sucks. Terrible.

The worst happened during that night train trip. After sometime in train, I felt terribly painful ALL OVER MY BODY. Chest felt very pain and tight. Arms and legs felt painful and cramped. I can hardly walked at first. I don't know why I was like that. I thought it will be more comfortable than economy class.

It just turned out to be a nightmare. :(

I felt totally helpless and cried silently when I tried my best to sleep again. Even now I can still feel the aftermath of it. Herm...

In a nutshell, I think I will still prefer train than bus if I want to go down to KL. It's much safer and not that packy as bus.

I just hope I can get back to study mode as soon as possible. Lot's of tasks coming up.

God bless you all!

PS: See I told you it's a very long post! LOL
